The ever talented and ie nicest guy alive @nickblunier will guide the group through creating a painted mandala mirror design using paint markers and traceable patterns/designs.Â
Tickets are $45/person and include all art supplies, tools, instruction and the mit for with hanging hardware.
Regardless of your artistic abilities, this class is a super fun way to incorporate painting art therapy tools into functional art while supporting this stellar, community-driven group. Unlike some sip and paint style classes, Common Roots will provide all the supplies, some guidelines and parameters, but they will let your creativity flow so you can take your project in any direction your heart desires! This is ART after all and that’s what this experience is all about!!!
Common Roots Studio is a community based art studio located in downtown Biddeford. Working closely with HOB, Chamber of Commerce, and Engine Inc.; the studio organizes different community building events such as the " Business Poker Crawl" and Art Walks. The studio provides a gallery setting for local Maine artists of all skill levels to display and sell their work, while building the basis of their artist identities. The "Young Artist Corner" features local children who are learning how to cerate a logo, artist statement, and portfolio of work! Along with a wide variety of collaboration with local businesses/artists, Pat also teaches music classes for kids and adults on the second floor! Your ticket sales to this event help CRS continue their artist mentoring and community outreach programs! Thank you so much for your support!Â
The studio is located on Washington St Biddeford, right off of main! We co-run the art walks with Engine Art Gallery and are an extremely community driven shop! Pat (co-owner) teaches music classes to kids and adults upstairs and shares the space with a few "resident artists" who use the space to paint. Downstairs is a community gallery setting where local artists Maine artists are able to display and sell their artwork. We help mentor new artists on how to create a logo, artist statement, and price their work. They pay $50 for the month and keep 100% of their profit. The back corner is our "young artists corner" where we currently have Ava who is 14 and Riley who is 10, providing them with support on creating those same fundamentals for displaying their works! Along with running many programs/events (such as our yearly Poker Crawl Event), we work closely with HOB and the Chamber of Commerce!
